Welcome to the

Mason Innovation Exchange

GMU's student run maker and collaboration space.

We are a multidisciplinary community of makers, innovators, artists, and engineers.

What is the MIX?

Mason has been building out a network of on-campus entrepreneurship- focused collaboration and maker spaces. This network is called the Mason Innovation Exchange (MIX). These spaces are open to the entire Mason community, including students, faculty and staff.

Our Mission.

To empower students, graduate and undergraduate, by exposing them to real-world challenges and problem-solving opportunities. To provide a central place on campus for students and faculty from all schools and disciplines to meet, socialize, learn, and build.

What we Do.

Programs encourage multi-disciplinary collaboration across all of Mason’s schools and degree programs (e.g. engineering, science, business, liberal arts). It’s the place at Mason where groups can come together to develop ideas, research problems, craft solutions, and start companies.

"MIX it up a little."

Summer 2017 Hours.

Monday-Friday 9AM-6PM The MIX@Innovation is closed for the summer, however, our new location - the MIX@Fenwick - is open during the work-week. Come check out the space, learn about our equipment, or work on collaborative projects.
